Çiftlikönü Neighborhood is located in a large area starting from the Cumhuriyet square of Gündoğdu-Turgut District of our district and extending to the back parts of Hürriyet District. Considering the difficulties experienced by our citizens living in this neighborhood in reaching the headmanship, the name of the neighborhood was changed with the council decision numbered 73 dated 04.02.2020. Accordingly, the region that our citizens have defined as Çiftlikönü for many years has become official as Çiftlikönü District. In addition, the part of this neighborhood from Hürriyet District to the ring road was named Atatürk District.

According to the 2019 census, the total population of the neighborhood is 20,049 people.
